bodyboarding

Bodyboarding is a form of lay down surfing on a short board. Bodyboarders wear flippers to gain more speed to catch up with waves. Different tricks are involved in bodyboarding to surfing as the boards are easier to manoeuvre and lighter.

This is really easy to do. If you can swim then you can do this sport. But don't go out in a storm and think it will be easy. Entering the sea in a storm or high swell is dangerous. Take it easy first.

This extreme sport is quite easy to get the hang of. A lot of people tend to do this sport when on holiday by the sea. If you're just getting into extreme sports, this is a good one to start with. Inexpensive and very accessable.

If you were looking to take this sport a bit more seriously then you can progress quickly with this extreme sport. There are more tricks involved with bodyboarding than surfing so you won't get bored. The only thing that can get frustrating is the weather. Like surfing, the better you get the more extreme waves and conditions you want. In the UK the best waves are generally in the winter so when looking for a wetsuit buy a winter suit. They are the same as summer suits just thicker.
